Ayrmer Software launched a new, e-commerce enabled website for
SJ Sportscars - independant Lotus specialists based
in Devon - that allows them to process orders on-line. It has been fully integrated with SagePay
(payment gateway) and Sage Line 50 (small business accounts software) that allows the business
to seamlessly integrate their website with existing business procedures and accounts software.
The business was unable to use a standard e-commerce system as their business procedures meant that an off-the-shelf solution couldn't meet their needs. The business isn't able to process all orders straight away for a variety of different reason including getting quotes for delivery charges for heavier items, made to order or special orders that require their intervention.

SJ Sportscars have also gained a reputation for customer service. They check every order to ensure the client has got the right parts and accessories. This means that Steve Roberts (Managing Director) has to review around 80% of the orders before authorising the goods to be dispatched around the globe.

The website has been fully integrated into Sage Line 50, enabling the business to maintain records for the accounts, even when orders are processed online. The parts and accessories are set-up in Sage Line 50 and then imported into the websites' database ensuring stock lines are kept constantly up to date.
All credit card payments are process through SagePay (Payment Service Provider), although clients have the additional options to pay by bank transfer or cheque if they prefer. The website handles the entire order processing and generates all the associated documentation from quotations, order confirmations, order dispatch notifications, receipts, invoices, packing notes and address labels.
Users can download or request an update price list for any model in the Lotus range and these are generated on the fly using the Portable Document Format (PDF).

Clients can access their accounts enabling them to track their quotations and orders as we as view other account details. This includes billing and delivery addresses as well as a list of cars they have registered on the website. Once a client has logged on, the check out process has been streamlined, making the entire process extremely efficient!
The system was developed using our own platform (Golem) that ensures the system is robust and makes the most of Object Orientated Programming methodologies.
