website design :: open source
There are a wide variety of open source solutions available for web based systems, including
content management systems, blogs, wikis, etc. We do not believe in re-inventing the wheel and are
happy to help Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) select the right solution and then implement
it for them.
Whilst our focus is on developing custom built solutions we realise that for some businesses open source solutions present a realistic and affordable solution that will meet their needs, so we are pleased to be able to provide alternatives that are well supported by the open source community.
"Brilliant, you made it look so easy!"
We worked in conjunction with FourDegreesWest, developing a "hose assembly wizard" for a hydraulic supplier in the South West of England. FourDegreesWest used the open source Zen shopping cart, but needed some additional functionality added to the standard version that would allow users to specify their requirements, using an intuitive user interaface. The work involved integrating the set-up within the Zen administration area as well as the front end, accessed by clients.
"Maybe I haven't made myself clear enough in stating that you're a genius, succeeding where others have failed."
net.mentor approached us about setting up a blog for their website using an open source blog (WordPress). The work included adapting the look and feel of the their website into the blog; installing and configuring the system and then advising them on getting the most from their company blog.
"We chose Ayrmer Software because we liked their approach - keep everything simple!".

Miserve are a specialist oil fired heating & stoves plumber business that are based in the same building as us. Initially the business owners approach us, because the were paying a considerable amount of moeny to an SEO company that said they would build them a website, but they never came up with the goods. We produced a website that is already yielding results using WordPress, enabling us to delievr a content management system with limited resources, whilst deliverying the clients needs.
